Mathematics is Not a Talent, It is a Language
TYT Math is based on reading comprehension and problem-solving skills rather than memorization. If your scores are not increasing, it is time to change your study method.
1. Do Not Underestimate Basic Concepts
The alphabet of mathematics is numbers. If you lack in basic concepts, exponents-roots, and rational numbers, you cannot progress in problems. Strengthen the foundation first.
2. Create a Problem Routine
The heart of TYT is word problems. Make it a habit to solve 20 problems every day without exception. Do not time yourself at first, try to grasp the logic. Then race against time.
3. Questions You Can't Do Are Gold
After the trial exam, focus on your mistakes and blanks, not what you did right. Analyze why you couldn't do a question (lack of knowledge, carelessness, lack of time?) and definitely ask your teacher that question.
4. Do Not Neglect Geometry
Most students look at geometry as "I'll look if I have time". However, there are 10 geometry questions in TYT and its standard deviation is high. Finishing the triangles topic means handling 70% of geometry.
5. Use the Touring Technique
Being stubborn with a question in the exam causes you to lose 5 questions. Mark the question you can't do and pass. Your brain will continue to process that question in the background. You are much more likely to solve it when you return.
